Wyoming bicycle tour day by day details  

Day 1: Togwotee Tranquility
  • Arrive at Jackson Hole Airport.

Your Wyoming adventure begins at Jackson Hole Airport, the gateway to the Grand Tetons! We'll shuttle to our comfortable lodge nestled amidst the towering pines of the Bridger Teton National Forest near Togwotee Pass. Settle in, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and explore the tranquil surroundings before we gather for our orientation and a delicious welcome dinner, setting the stage for the incredible journey ahead.

Day 2: Togwotee Pass & Dubois Discovery
  • Ascend to Togwotee Pass.
  • Cycle to Brooks Lake.
  • Explore cowboy town of Dubois.
After a hearty Wyoming breakfast, we'll begin our ride with a gradual climb through fragrant pine and fir forests towards Togwotee Pass, the highest point of our tour. From the pass, it's a thrilling descent to the tranquil beauty of Brooks Lake, a perfect spot for a picnic lunch. We'll continue on to Dubois, a charming town known for its Western heritage, vibrant art galleries, and the fascinating National Bighorn Sheep Center. Explore the town, soak in the atmosphere, and enjoy a well-deserved dinner.
Ride: 38 mi, Land: short climb, then downhill

Day 3: Wind River & Lander's Charm

Today's ride offers a change of scenery as we bid farewell to the dense forests and pedal through rolling hills and open prairies alongside the scenic Wind River. We'll pass through small ranching communities, offering a glimpse into authentic rural Wyoming life. Our destination is Lander, a vibrant town known for its outdoor recreation opportunities, from rock climbing to fly fishing. Explore the town's shops, restaurants, and perhaps visit the nearby Sinks Canyon State Park.

Day 4: Atlantic City's History & Farson's Treats

We'll shuttle to the historic ghost town of Atlantic City, a fascinating remnant of Wyoming's gold rush era. From there, we'll explore the well-preserved South Pass City, offering a vivid glimpse into the state's past. Get ready for an exhilarating downhill ride to Farson, a small community famous for the iconic Farson Mercantile, where we'll refuel with their legendary ice cream and other treats before shuttling to Pinedale.

Day 5: Pinedale's Views & Hoback's Junction

Our final day of cycling takes us from Pinedale, a charming town surrounded by the Wind River Mountains, through stunning landscapes. We'll pedal past pristine lakes, including the picturesque Fremont Lake, and traverse the beautiful Green River Valley, with its rolling hills and peaceful ranching communities. Our ride culminates at Hoback Junction, where the Hoback and Snake Rivers converge, offering a dramatic backdrop to our final night.

Day 6: Jackson Farewell
  • Depart from Jackson Hole Airport.

After a final breakfast together, we'll provide shuttles to Jackson Hole Airport for your departures, filled with memories of stunning landscapes and unforgettable experiences.

Getting there

The Autumn in Wyoming Bike Tour meets and ends at Jackson Hole Airport. Guides will meet arriving flights, between 9:00 and 13:00

Guests should plan their flights to arrive in Jackson Wyoming before 13:00 (1 pm) on Day 1 of the tour and their departing flights after 11:00 on Day 6.
