Our journey begins in Tahiti, where we'll explore Papeete's markets and enjoy a welcome dinner. We'll then ferry to Moorea, cycling along hibiscus-lined roads, through palm groves, and into the island's interior to visit the historic Marae Titiroa and admire the stunning views from Belvedere Overlook. We'll explore the twin islands of Huahine, discovering ancient temples and traditional fish traps, and cycle around the tranquil shores of Raiatea, visiting the sacred Marae Taputaputea, the ancient center of Polynesian religion.
The highlight of our tour is a visit to the fabled island of Bora Bora, where we'll cycle around the island, taking in the dramatic peaks and turquoise lagoons. Throughout our journey, we'll experience the warmth of Polynesian hospitality, savor delicious local cuisine, and stay in charming hotels and bungalows. This Tahiti bicycle tour isn't just a trip; it's an escape to a world of natural beauty, cultural richness, and the carefree spirit of Polynesia. >Semi-Supported Tour
Unlike many of our tours, the Tahiti tour does not have a support vehicle accompanying you during the cycling. The ferry we use take only passengers and two wheeled vehicles, so difficult to move a sagwagon from island to island with the group. Your guide carries tools and spares in the event of mechanical issue and a lift by taxi or hotel car is only a phone call away.
Your baggage is transferred from the ferry piers to our hotels and back again, no panniers needed. And in the event you are not up for the ride to the ferry, transfers can be arranged in the hotel's van. The ferry crews handle of loading and unloading baggage and bicycles, so we travel with ease (we do walk our bikes onto the Mo'orea-Tahiti ferry, but not the others.).
